A. The date code is a production date, not a best by date. It is imprinted on the box over one of the images of caviar as well as printed in green ink on the glass jar. The date code is a Julian code and can be interpreted the following way:

- 132 = Day of the year (out of 365; 132 = May 12)

A. Caviar is fragile, so we recommend being very gentle with the product. We recommend using a mother-of-pearl, stainless steel or plastic implements for spooning, as sterling silver can impart a metallic taste.
